WHATYOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE
As an Electrical Tech, you will travel to job sites across the country. Your main task will be installing all the electrical wiring and infrastructure for large industrial refrigeration systems. This means you will work with both the main power (high voltage) and the smaller control wires (low voltage). You will use blueprints and technical instructions to make sure systems are connected safely and correctly to things like compressors, condensers, fans, and control panels, always following all applicable electrical rules.
A key part of your day will be wiring and connecting control panels, including MCCs, PLCs, and DDCs, ensuring all controls, sensors, and safety devices are correctly hooked up. Before the system is turned on, you will test everything to check the grounding, voltage, and circuit functions. You will consistently read technical diagrams and manufacturer manuals to ensure the job is done precisely, while strictly following all job‑site safety rules and national electrical codes.
