Plumbing Specialist

The Plumbing Specialist installs, maintains, and repairs piping systems, plumbing fixtures, and water distribution systems throughout district buildings, ensuring safe and code-compliant operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plumbing Maintenance and Installation (65%)
• Repair leaks, unclog drains, and replace fixtures (toilets, sinks, water fountains)
• Install piping for water supply and drainage systems
• Maintain and repair irrigation and sprinkler systems

Safety & Compliance (25%)

• Ensure compliance with plumbing codes and regulations
• Conduct routine inspections and water testing

Other Responsibilities (5%)

• Support emergency repairs or after hours calls
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Journeyman Plumber License (or equivalent)
• Minimum 3 years experience in plumbing systems repair and maintenance

All employees hired by the school district must pass a criminal background and child abuse registry check.

Preferred Education, Experience, and

Skills:

• Backflow certification
• Experience in school or commercial plumbing
• Ability to read blueprints and piping schematics
