Part-Time Museum Director

Salary: $20 - $25 per hour
Typical work week: 16hours per week

Applicants for this position must be able to organize archival records and maintain classification systems to facilitate access to archival materials; research and record the origins and historicalsignificanceof archival materials; work with public outreach programs, such as tours, workshops, and other MHCO events for residents, staff, and visiting public; understand archival policy guidelines concerning access and use of materials;and provide assistance in researching materials for users requesting archival materials.
The candidate for this position mustpossessa bachelor’s degree in business, Management, Library Science, Museum Science, Archaeology, or a related field. It is recommended that thecandidatehave a knowledge of genealogical/historical research procedures; working knowledge of HIPPA regulations; experience in maintenance and upkeep of historical site; and experience in working andcommunicatingwith others. The person must alsodemonstratetheability to do the jobas well as serve as an Ambassadorial Representative of the agency to the community.
The applicant must havea complete and clear background check, aphysical and TB test, andclear drug screening as outlined in our policies and procedures and per our licensure agreement. A valid North Carolina Driver’s License is required.
