TPMS Project Engineer

The TPMS Project Engineer provides first-level engineering and technical support across TPMS systems, scan tools, parts & valves, hand tools, and related product lines. This role serves as a primary technical resource for customer inquiries, field issues, internal support, and new product validation.

• Manage TPMS and Customer Service technical support emails, ensuring timely, accurate responses.
• Handle technical phone calls and provide first-level product support.
• Assist with vehicle testing to validate minor customer complaints and field issues.
• Support product testing and hands‑on product familiarization activities.
• Perform CAD work, including Engineering Change Notifications (ECNs) and New Product Releases (NPRs).
• Execute ERP‑related tasks such as Bill of Material (BOM) creation and maintenance.
• Maintain proficiency across the full ECN, NPR, and ERP workflow.
• Design new parts and maintain a structured engineering part database.
• Support the design and development of fixtures, test chambers, and scanning systems.
• Provide daily engineering support for manufacturing and resolve “production fires.”
• Work directly with production teams to address build issues, testing concerns, and product deviations.
• Support parts & valves, hand tools, and TPMS hardware from an engineering perspective.
• Manage Returned Material Authorizations (RMAs), dispositions, and warranty follow‑ups.
• Maintain and update the Supplier Issues Database (date, subject, affected part).
• Track recurring supplier issues and support escalation and corrective action efforts.
• Assist with TPMS system training and internal competency development.
• Conduct new product and component testing.
• Develop and document standardized testing methods.
• Maintain ownership and ongoing updates for assigned product lines.
• Deliver in‑person product training when required.
• Support customer‑facing product education, troubleshooting, and system demonstrations.

• Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including year/make/model applications (required).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands‑on problem‑solving ability.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, ECNs, NPRs, and BOM structures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while coordinating cross‑functional tasks.

• Entry‑level candidates considered; 1–3 years of experience preferred
