Accentuate Staffing is working with an established client in the automotive industry looking for a Project Engineer who wants to participate in the cradle-to-grave product development lifecycle.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads or participates on projects from Design and Development to Manufacturing Release by creating project plans and timelines, communicating progress, overcoming roadblocks, and conducting design validation testing.
  • Works alongside Manufacturing and Quality during the project design phase and handoff to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Collaborates with Manufacturing and Quality to improve product design and processes.
  • Creates test plans for products, performs tests, and writes reports.
  • Manages Engineering Change Requests.
  • Uses scientific approaches to problem solving, including design analysis, engineering calculations, and statistics.
  • Researches and analyzes design proposals and other data to evaluate feasibility, cost, and assembly requirements.
  • Specifies system components or directs modifications to ensure conformance with design and performance specifications.
  • Prepares product reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Investigates and resolves product issues, determining non-conforming modes and issuing corrective actions.
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers and responds promptly to inquiries.
  • Meets deadlines set by internal and external customers.
  • Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Previous experience is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience and willingness to perform testing in a lab.
  • Strong work ethic, ability to work independently and as part of a team, with leadership qualities.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter.
  • Excellent writing, presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
  • Effective prioritization and planning skills.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a creative approach to new ideas.
  • Proficiency in Solid Works is a plus.
