The CNC Swiss Set Up Operator is responsible for set up, operating and maintaining a machine to make quality products for external customers within the established timelines.

• Secure order/print/control plan and lay out from planning for next job to be set up and run
• Review Work Order Instructions
• Request Raw Material
• Retrieve all part tooling and machine tooling for the job
• Removes all tooling, scrap and paper work from previous job from machine and gage table
• Turns in all gauging from previous and request gauges for new job
• Load or pull up program for next job.
• Starts changeover/set up
• Run sample production pieces and attain required set up approval
• Fill out move ticket and place in work along with an okay ticket
• Clean area and have ready for next operator or next shift
• Follow hazardous waste work instruction (EWI 0007) when disposing of mop water
• Leave notes or instructions for the next operator, as needed
• Do preventive maintenance as required
• Test coolant to maintain proper mixed ratio

• Self-motivated with ability to work with limited supervision
• High-energy individual with a strong work ethic
• Basic level of computer literacy, basic mechanical and basic math skills
• Must be able to read part prints and tooling layout charts
• Sit, walk or stand (concrete flooring and changing temperatures)

High school, GED, or equivalent diploma
