** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to hospital patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical facility alerts, and/or access control concerns.

+ Conduct regular and random patrols throughout hospital buildings, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or hazardous conditions.

+ Monitor access points and visitor flow as directed, assisting with directions and coordinating with hospital personnel on entry protocols.

+ Observe and report unusual activity, potential policy violations, and/or environmental concerns, documenting events per site requirements.

+ Complete routine patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation in a timely and accurate manner.

+ Assist with de-escalation and customer service interventions, requesting additional support when needed and following site procedures.

+ Support emergency and disaster response activities as assigned, including responding to fire alarms, severe weather notifications, and/or other facility notifications.

+ Communicate clearly with hospital staff, patients, visitors, and/or responding public services, using radio and/or phone systems per site policy.

+ Maintain a professional presence and appearance while performing patrol duties in varied indoor and outdoor working environments and conditions.

* + Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required.

+ A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.

+ Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
