Job Description SummaryVisiting Assistant Professor or Instructor (multiple positions) to teach Spanish-language and Spanish-culture courses at all levels. Position may be renewable for up to five years. Appointment begins August 17, 2026.
Job DescriptionThe Spanish and Portuguese department is looking for Visiting Assistant Professors or Instructors to teach Spanish-language and Spanish-culture courses at all levels. The position may be renewable for up to five years, contingent on performance and funding.
Minimum RequirementsRequired: Ph.D. in Spanish language, literature, culture, or linguistics by date of appointment for appointment as Visiting Assistant Professor; M.A. in Spanish language, literature, culture, or linguistics by date of appointment for appointment as Instructor.
Consideration will be given to candidates with demonstrated teaching excellence; native or near-native fluency in both Spanish and English; areas of specialization open and interdisciplinary approaches welcome.
