Job SummaryVisiting Assistant Professor/Instructor to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in social work. Appointment begins August 17, 2026, with the possibility of renewal for up to five years contingent on performance and funding. Two positions are available.
Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in social work.
- Develop and deliver course materials, assessments, and instructional activities.
- Engage in course design and curriculum development.
- Provide academic advising and support to students.
- Maintain professional practice and scholarship as required by the department.
- Ph.D. or terminal degree in Family Science or Social Work, or a closely related field, by the appointment date.
- Minimum two years of post‑master’s practice experience for the Visiting Assistant Professor role.
- Master’s (or ABD) in Social Work or a closely related field, by the appointment date.
- Minimum two years of post‑master’s practice experience for the Instructor role.
- Applied professional experience, including at least five years of practice after the master’s degree.
- Licensure in social work (e.g., LSW, LISW, LISW‑S) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching hybrid or fully online courses as well as face‑to‑face courses.
