Job Description SummaryAssist in the management of the equestrian center through club team coaching, horse management and training, and management of student staff workload. Serve as additional instructor to youth teams, camps, and the horseback riding classes offered by the university. Assist in additional programming such as leases and horse showing outside of the collegiate setting.
Essential Duties- Assistant coach of the club team
- Lunging and riding of horses to prepare them for students
- Management of the horse turnout schedule
- Daily worklist of tasks for students and other staff
- Barn management (including stepping in when needed to provide horse care)
- Keeping track of horse medication and nutrition
- Work flexible hours including evenings and weekend
- Bachelor’s degree
- 1 or more years of facility/programming and direct staff supervision experience
- CPR/First Aid certification within the first 90 days of hire
- Knowledge of equestrian safety standards and risk management
- 2 or more years of facility/programming and direct staff supervision experience
- Experience developing riding lesson curricula or equestrian programming for various age groups and skill levels

- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
