Job Description Summary
  • Provide safe swimming environment by enforcing rules and policies and responding to aquatic emergencies.
  • Work performed at this level is done independently of supervision.
  • Requires the highest level of artistic, technical, or scientific expertise.
  • Provide supervision to student employees at the Student Master 2 Undergraduate level.
Essential Duties
  • Work performed at this level is done independently of supervision.
  • Provide supervision to student employees at the Student Master 1 Undergraduate level.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Requires the highest level of artistic, technical, or scientific expertise.
Additional Position Information
  • Perform water rescues including back boarding, passive and active rescues.
  • Perform CPR, ventilations and first aid (including inline stabilization, apply ice and bandages).
  • Enforce rules and regulations designed for safe use of the Aquatic Center.
  • Perform Blood Borne Pathogen cleanup.
  • Complete accident and incident reports.
  • Provide safe swimming environment by enforcing rules, policies and responding to aquatic emergencies.
  • Certified in American Red Cross Lifeguard/CPR/AED and First Aid or equivalent; training required within 30 days of hiring.
