Student Personal Trainer Rec Sports Student Master 1 Undergraduate

Personal trainers for Miami University are hired to assess, design, and supervise exercise programs for Recreational Center patrons.

Essential Duties

• Maintains a safe and friendly environment, keeping patron well-being and satisfaction the priority
• Assesses, designs, and supervises exercise program for client according to their limitations and goals.
• Reports to appointments on time and in the proper uniform.
• Provides instruction on proper exercise equipment use and techniques.
• Addresses client concerns and questions involving Fitness Center or programs taking place within the Fitness Center.
• Reports any equipment issues, such as unsafe conditions or maintenance needs, observed during training to the Fitness staff.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Completes the Personal Training Program (ITP) and/or a Certification through a reputable governing body
• Obtains CPR/AED certification within 30 days of employment
