** Personal trainers for Miami University are hired to assess, design, and supervise exercise programs for Recreational Center patrons.
** Job Description
**** Essential Duties
** Maintains a safe and friendly environment, keeping patron well-being and satisfaction the priority
* Assesses, designs, and supervises exercise program for client according to their limitations and goals.
* Reports to appointments on time and in the proper uniform.
* Provides instruction on proper exercise equipment use and techniques.
* Addresses client concerns and questions involving Fitness Center or programs taking place within the Fitness Center.
* Reports any equipment issues, such as unsafe conditions or maintenance needs, observed during training to the Fitness staff.
** Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Completes the Personal Training Program (ITP) and/or a Certification through a reputable governing body
* Obtains CPR/AED certification within 30 days of employment
