Job Description SummaryPlan, prepare and instruct group fitness classes to a variety populations with the safety and well-being as a first priority.
Answer program questions and concerns, and maintain upkeep and cleanliness of the group fitness equipment. Up to 20 hours perweek.
- Maintains a safe and friendly environment, keeping patron well-being and satisfaction the priority.
- Creates and instructs varying types of group fitness lesson plans appropriate for multiple levels.
- Arrives at least 10 minutes prior to class to prepare music, checkroom cleanliness, set up equipment if needed, and greet andcheck-in participants as they arrive
- Maintains current instructor, BBP and CPR certifications through continuing education workshops or classes, remaining up-to-date onsafety and physiological issues as they pertain to group exercise.
- Completes the Instructor Training Program or completion of successful audition while holding relevant national certification.
- Obtains CPR/AED certification within 30 days of employment
