Job Overview:
As an Ultrasonographer at McCullough Hyde Memorial Hospital, working under the general direction of a physician and supervision of leadership, this role is responsible for performing high-quality general, OB, and breast ultrasound examinations in accordance with ACR and AIUM guidelines and established protocols. The Ultrasonographer must demonstrate competency in general, OB, and breast imaging, including ultrasound-guided procedures, with a GXMO preferred for DEXA if applicable.
Responsibilities include performing accurate and timely exams; ensuring complete and precise EMR documentation; participating in quality assurance and control activities; maintaining proper operation, care, and troubleshooting of ultrasound equipment; delivering compassionate, patient-centered care; collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams; adhering to infection prevention and safety standards; assisting with student training and onboarding of new staff; supporting clerical functions as needed; engaging in ongoing professional development;
traveling to additional locations as required; and performing other duties as assigned. RDMS certification in the appropriate specialty (AB, OB/GYN, and/or Breast) is required, along with compliance with continuing education requirements.

Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree in Allied Health (Required) 1-2 years of Ultrasound experience (Preferred) Graduate of an approved technical, professional, or vocational program (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required) Other ARDMS or ARRT(Breast Certified) (Required) Other GXMO (only needed if ARDMS) (Preferred)
Job Responsibilities:
Demonstrates ability to consistently produce and evaluate diagnostic sonograms for radiologic interpretation Demonstrates competency through ongoing CBE's. Demonstrates knowledge of equipment and its operating procedures through CBE's. Selects proper imaging protocols and follows departmental procedures Demonstrates organizational and communication skills to promote the well-being of the department Maintains a cooperative relationship with interdepartmental team members Maintains accurate records through the completion of all paperwork.
Work is completed before submitting Provides for patient, family, and staff comfort and care prior to, during, and after a procedure. Recognizes and responds appropriately to emergent situations
