Room Attendant

About the Position

We are seeking an experienced Housekeeper to join our Housekeeping team at The Elms Hotel & Spa. The role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and overall guest experience of hotel rooms and public areas.

• Engage with guests to ensure satisfaction during their stay.
• Work as a team to maintain resort/hotel cleanliness.
• Keep work cart orderly, properly stocked, and usable.
• Utilize equipment, supplies and guest amenities in a proper manner.
• Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of assigned guest areas.
• Change and inspect linens and towels daily, following Green Program standards.
• Practice safety standards and report hazards (e.g. broken glass, frayed cords, leaks, broken locks, suspicious persons).
• Respect guests’ property and handle equipment responsibly.
• Maintain accurate time records and adhere to posted schedule.
• Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and co‑workers.
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor.

• Open availability including weekends and holidays.
• Housekeeping experience desirable.
• Neat, pleasant personality.
• Time‑management skills.
• Ability to work on feet for an extended period.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
• Physical strength to move, traverse, and position self to reach corners on floors and high places; operate equipment like spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads and dusters; lift, carry and position loads up to 25 lbs; navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces.

$16.00 – $16.00 per hour.
