Responsible for maintaining Goggin Ice Center facilities and equipment by performing basic operations and facility support.

• Performs general maintenance repairs on facility components.
• Performs general ice making and maintenance tasks by operating an ice resurfacer and related equipment.
• Monitors activities to ensure the smooth flow of operations and that all systems are fully functional.
• Assists in event setup and teardown.

• Basic ice making and maintenance tasks.
• Skate sharpening.
• Basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical repairs.
• Basic and specialized custodial tasks.
• Cleans and maintains tools and equipment.
• Serves as an informal resource to student staff.
• Assists in setup for special events.

• Six months of mechanical/trade training beyond high school and two years of repair/maintenance experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience; requires a driver's license.

• Knowledge of carpentry, electricity, and plumbing repair and maintenance.
• Knowledge of mechanical repair.
• Ability to read schematics.
• Ability to complete ongoing Certified Ice Technician training.
• Ability to complete ongoing Certified Pool Operator training.

• Continuous standing or walking, frequent climbing, and lifting of materials up to 75 lb.
• Somewhat disagreeable working conditions.
• Exposure to unpleasant elements.

• Pre‑employment drug testing may be required.
• On‑the‑job ice maintenance and equipment operation training provided.
