Biologics Production Scientist

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Biologics Production Scientist to carry out day‑to‑day production of kit and flowcell components.

Reporting to the Associate Director, Biologics Production, the successful candidate will carry out the day‑to‑day production of kit and flowcell components including purification of proteins, production of DNA/RNA analytes, protein‑DNA complexes, Triblock components, and other bulk components for sequencing kits. They will also ensure batch records are followed correctly and perform testing as required.

• Equipment management, including liaising with the manufacturer
• Continuous improvement and troubleshooting
• Production data tracking
• Updating BPs and item specifications
• Raising Change Notes, Deviations, CAPA and non‑conformances
• General lab maintenance
• Batch records review

• Relevant laboratory experience, ideally in chemistry, biochemistry or pharmaceutical environment or in large‑scale protein, DNA or chemical processing
• Working knowledge of chemical, biochemical or molecular biology techniques appropriate for the specific area
• Familiarity with GMP and GLP
• Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies (beneficial)
• Strong organisational skills, resilience under pressure, attention to detail and systematic approach to work
• Quality and process driven, team oriented, responsive to customer needs, proactive change influencer
• BSc or equivalent relevant experience required
