Job Summary

Salary: £35,730.00 - £43,670.00 per year

Location: Oxford and surrounding area

Responsibilities

Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in customers' homes as part of the Electrical Team.
Conduct responsive repairs and works within planned teams in line with work schedules, Institute of Electrical Engineering (IEE) wiring regulations and SNG's standard procedures.
Apply a strong health and safety mindset and knowledge of best practices.
Estimate, requisition and recommend acquisition of necessary materials and spares to ensure repairs and maintenance are carried out in compliance with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
Record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates.

Qualifications

Experience in a similar role, preferably within a residential or housing sector.
Minimum NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), 18th Edition (BS7671) and City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect qualifications.
Full and current driving licence with at least 1 year of experience.
Satisfactory licence check and essential qualifications check required.

Hours & Working Conditions

Full‑time role, 40 hours per week. Opportunity to supplement salary through call‑out and overtime at competitive rates. Travel within the role will be required; access to a van and fuel card will be provided.
