Join the RAC as a Roadside Technician and help keep the UK moving. You will work from your own vehicle, performing mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics, and emergency breakdown support across the UK.

A Level 2 Light Vehicle Maintenance qualification (or equivalent) and at least 2 years of technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience. You will work demand-led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime.

• Provide expert mechanical roadside repair, vehicle diagnostics and emergency breakdown support across the UK.
• Handle a variety of tasks, from flat batteries and tyre changes to complex fault finding.
• Maintain outstanding member service, providing quick, confident solutions and reassurance.
• Work from home, tackling challenges head-on, and delivering solutions efficiently.

• A Level 2 light vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent) with at least 2 years’ post-qualification technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
• A customer-focused approach.
• A full UK driving licence.

• Strong base pay – £36,400 with realistic OTE of £61,000, with bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.

You’ll be part of the Oxford cluster, covering areas such as Oxford, Abingdon, Didcot, Wantage, Witney, Bicester, and Thame. Work is organised locally so you can start and finish at home.
