Join a skilled maintenance team supporting critical defense infrastructure, delivering reactive repairs and planned maintenance across a diverse estate.
Are you a skilled Multi Trade Operative looking for a role where your work truly matters? A leading company in the Defence sector is seeking a Multi Trade Operative in Oxfordshire to support the maintenance and upkeep of key Defence facilities.
This is an exciting opportunity to work across a varied estate, carrying out maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishments that directly contribute to the safe and efficient operation of essential Defence sites.
The Role- Carry out reactive maintenance, repairs, compliance works and minor refurbishment projects across multiple Defence sites.
- Undertake a wide variety of maintenance tasks including plumbing, basic electrical repairs, plastering, mechanical maintenance and general building repairs.
- Work across both domestic and commercial buildings, adapting to a varied workload.
- Manage your daily workload digitally using a tablet or mobile device while maintaining accurate job records.
- Travel between sites using a company van and fuel card provided.
- Support general store keeping and yard duties when required.
- Work both independently and collaboratively as part of a skilled maintenance team.
- Participate in an on-call rota, responding to emergency maintenance requirements when required.
- Practical experience within maintenance, Facilities Management, construction or social housing.
- Experience carrying out a broad range of building maintenance and repair tasks.
- Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation, including COSHH and RIDDOR.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Eligibility to obtain Security Clearance (SC).
- Trade qualifications are desirable but not essential; strong hands-on experience will also be considered.
- Salary of £32,000-£35,000.
- Company van and fuel card (with optional private use).
- Up to 6% contributory pension scheme.

- Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm.
