Mechanical Site Manager Heating & Plumbing

Position: Mechanical Site Manager – Heating & Plumbing
We are working on behalf of a highly established building services contractor delivering technically interesting mechanical projects across Oxfordshire, London and surrounding areas.

We are looking to speak with experienced Mechanical Site Managers / Mechanical Supervisors with a strong background in heating, plumbing and mechanical building services.

This is a hands-on site management role suited to someone who understands mechanical installations, can confidently manage people and subcontractors and takes ownership of delivering work to a high standard.

The role

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site, including:

● Managing and coordinating direct labour and subcontractors

● Overseeing heating, plumbing and mechanical installations

● Working from drawings, specifications and project programmes

● Monitoring programme, progress and quality

● Planning labour, materials and plant requirements

● Liaising with clients, main contractors and internal project teams

● Identifying and resolving technical and site issues

● Managing health & safety and RAMS

● Supporting testing, commissioning and handover

● Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports

What we’re looking for

● Previous Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor experience

● Strong heating and plumbing background

● Good technical knowledge of mechanical building services

● Experience working on commercial and/or high-end residential projects

● Strong practical understanding of mechanical installations

● CSCS

● SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous

● NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within Plumbing & Heating / Mechanical Services advantageous

● Full UK driving licence

We’re looking for someone practical, technically capable and comfortable taking responsibility for a site rather than simply coordinating from behind a desk.
