Mechanical Site Manager - Heating & Plumbing

We are working on behalf of a highly established building services contractor delivering technically interesting mechanical projects across Oxfordshire, London and surrounding areas.

We are looking to speak with experienced Mechanical Site Managers / Mechanical Supervisors with a strong background in heating, plumbing and mechanical building services.

This is a hands-on site management role suited to someone who understands mechanical installations, can confidently manage people and subcontractors and takes ownership of delivering work to a high standard.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of mechanical works on site, including:

• Managing and coordinating direct labour and subcontractors
• Overseeing heating, plumbing and mechanical installations
• Working from drawings, specifications and project programmes
• Monitoring programme, progress and quality
• Planning labour, materials and plant requirements
• Liaising with clients, main contractors and internal project teams
• Identifying and resolving technical and site issues
• Managing health & safety and RAMS
• Supporting testing, commissioning and handover
• Maintaining accurate site records and progress reports

• Previous Mechanical Site Manager / Mechanical Supervisor experience
• Strong heating and plumbing background
• Good technical knowledge of mechanical building services
• Experience working on commercial and/or high-end residential projects
• Strong practical understanding of mechanical installations
• CSCS
• SMSTS or SSSTS advantageous
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent within Plumbing & Heating / Mechanical Services advantageous
• Full UK driving licence

We're looking for someone practical, technically capable and comfortable taking responsibility for a site rather than simply coordinating from behind a desk.
