About Your New Job   As a Maintenance Technician at a purpose built student accommodation block of 82 bedrooms in Oxford, you will ensure the safety, upkeep, and presentation of the student accommodation properties.
Youll respond promptly to maintenance requests, carry out planned and preventative maintenance, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Work closely with the Property Team and external contractors to keep all facilities in top condition.
Support room preparation, building presentation, and contractor management to maintain high standards all year round.
Play a key role in health, safety, and compliance, supporting audits, testing and statutory programmes.
What Skills You Need   Experience in general building maintenance or a relevant trade role.
Practical skills across plumbing, joinery, decorating, and basic electrical repairs.
Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent organisational, communication, and customer service skills.
Good IT skills to accurately record maintenance activities.
Solid understanding of Health & Safety legislation and practices.
Full UK driving license (desirable)
Desirable:
Experience in Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA), residential, hotel or facilities management.
Relevant trade qualifications (Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry or Multi-Skilled Maintenance).
Knowledge of fire safety, water hygiene, PAT testing, or statutory compliance.
