This position will support the Tax team in management of the Company’s tax compliance, accounting for income taxes, SEC reporting, and tax planning. The position will work directly with teams in our wholly owned subsidiaries and joint ventures in North America, South America, Africa, and Europe to ensure accurate and timely completion of tax provisions, filings, and critical tax related projects.
The successful candidate will work with businesses, service providers, and other tax professionals in carrying out their responsibilities.
- Prepare supporting work papers and drafts for U.S. federal, state and international corporate income tax returns.
- Prepare federal and state quarterly estimated income and franchise tax payments and extensions.
- Assist in preparing work papers for quarterly and annual income tax provision calculations and disclosures.
- Prepare property and sales/use tax returns.
- Review the tax reporting of the Company’s fixed assets.
- Support Tax team with tax audits, tax research, planning and other ad hoc projects.
- Monitor domestic legislative and regulatory law changes and procedures.
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in accounting or related field.
- 2-3 years in a public accounting firm or 3-5 years of in-house tax experience in a multinational and/or publicly traded corporation.
- Technical proficiency in U.S. federal and state income tax returns required.
- International tax and ASC 740 experience preferred.
- CPA preferred but not required.
- Attention to details and driven to have accurate and robust work papers and documentation.
- Organized and able to manage multiple projects through to completion; ability to work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Eager to learn.
