Workshop FacilitatorCareer TEAM seeks a Workshop Facilitator who will design, schedule, and deliver service orientations, career readiness workshops, and Career EDGE training for residents in Ventura County. The role is 100% onsite at various county locations and includes both in‑person and virtual presentations.
Key Responsibilities- Create workshop schedules and invite partners to present based on participant needs.
- Facilitate in‑person and virtual orientations on a weekly basis.
- Learn and present Career‑Edge to the community and partners.
- Serve as the Career‑EDGE champion and provide EDGE certification training to local staff.
- Advocate for clients, develop and monitor processes to ensure their success in the learning environment.
- Build fresh workshop curriculum based on customer needs and surveys.
- Engage clients, discuss available services, and assess benefits.
- Assist customers with computers and online assessments.
- Triage customers to meet their needs and provide exceptional service.
- Greet visitors warmly and ensure their comfort.
- Deliver presentations in‑person and virtually.
- Serve as backup to the receptionist when required.
- Approach daily tasks with a “ZAG” mindset.
- Perform other duties and projects as needed.
- Associate’s degree or higher, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong listening and customer‑needs analysis skills with good judgment for suggesting solutions.
- Familiarity with office machines (fax, printer, etc.).
- Ability to work with a culturally diverse customer base and demonstrate cultural sensitivity.
- Experience in career services and recruiting is highly valuable.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and proven ability to multitask.
- Personal computer literacy, including Internet, e‑mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Commitment to stay current on training subjects and industry trends.
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional time‑management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license.
$50,000 – $55,000 per year (commensurate with education and experience).
TravelMay require local travel up to 30% of the time. Travel to county locations for in‑person workshops.
