Career TEAM is looking to hire a Workshop Facilitator that will serve as our facilitator providing service orientations, career readiness workshops and Career EDGE training for residents in Ventura County both in person and virtual. They will also be responsible for triaging customers, and assisting with customer flow, and customer needs. This role provides an extra layer of customer service for the customers and staff to assess the base layer of customer service, understand customers' needs, and initiate a warm handoff for all services.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite at locations throughout Ventura County, CA.

- Responsible for creating workshop schedules and inviting partners to present (based on the needs of participants);
- Facilitate in person orientation and virtual orientations weekly;
- Ability to learn and present Career Edge to the community and partners;
- Serve as the Career EDGE champion, providing local staff with EDGE certification training;
- Serve as a client advocate to provide direction and support by creating and monitoring processes that will ensure client success in the learning environment;
- Build fresh workshop curriculum based on customer need and AJCC customer surveys;
- Engage clients by discussing the range of available services and the potential benefits;
- Assist customers with computers and assessments online;
- Customer triage to ensure customers’ needs are met and exception customer service is given;
- Greet visitors warmly and make sure they are comfortable;
- Deliver presentations both in‑person and virtually;
- Serve as backup to the receptionist as needed;
- Approach each day and task with a “ZAG” mindset;
- Other duties and projects as needed.
- Associate’s degree or higher or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
- Ability to listen to customers, analyze expressed needs, and use good judgment in suggesting solutions or next steps;
- Familiarity with office machines (e.g., fax, printer, etc.);
- Ability to work in a variety of settings with a culturally diverse customer base with the ability to be culturally sensitive;
- Experience in Career Services and Recruiting is considered extremely valuable;
- Strong problem‑solving skills and proven ability to multi‑task;
- Personal computer literacy required, including effective use of the Internet, e‑mail, and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook);
- Must be able to keep current on training subjects and industry trends;
- Excellent interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills;
- Exceptional time management skills to meet deadlines and work under pressure;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- A Valid Driver’s License.
Salary
: $50,000 - $55,000/yr. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
Travel
:
Position may require local travel up to 30% of the time. The selected candidate will be required to travel periodically to locations through the county for in‑person workshops.
