• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Previous experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational settings preferred
• Familiarity with high school curricula and age-appropriate interaction
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families
• Certification as required for school-based interpreting in California

• Provide ASL interpreting services in all classroom settings and extracurricular activities
• Support a high school student caseload by accurately conveying spoken and signed information between teachers and students
• Adapt interpreting style for varied academic subjects and social settings
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with school policies and interpreter ethical standards
• Assist educators in understanding deaf culture and effective communication practices
