Aboutthe Position
The Martin V. Smith School of Business & Economics seeks a pool of qualified applicants for possible temporary part‑time undergraduate teaching assignments in management. These positions are filled on an as‑needed basis and recruitment is ongoing. Assignments can include daytime, evening, and online courses. Assignments may also require administering assessments and collecting/submitting assessment data.
Disciplines include business administration, accounting, communications, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, finance, human resources, information systems and technology, international business, law, leadership, management, marketing, operations, statistics, and strategy.
Minimum Degree RequirementsMinimum of a master’s degree from a regionally accredited university in any of the following areas: business administration, accounting, communications, economics, entrepreneurship, ethics, finance, human resources, information systems and technology, international business, law, leadership, management, marketing, operations, statistics, and strategy, or a related field to the business discipline of course topic, and active professional with industry experience.
Required Qualifications- The minimum degree requirements stated above;
- Demonstrated preparation for teaching related field to business discipline at a university level;
- Applicants should demonstrate the commitment to effectively work with and engage a diverse student population and evidence of how they would successfully mentor minoritized students with special focus on Latinx, Black/African American, American Indian, and Asian/Asian American/Pacific Islander students.
- PhD in a related business discipline;
- 5+ years full‑time work experience;
- Work/consulting experience in private or public sector related to Business & Economics;
- A record of effective teaching with a variety of methodologies.
Teach one or more classes as assigned and as student demand allows. Conduct and turn in assessment activities as outlined each semester.

Placement into a range is based on qualifications and experience. Initial assignments are typically at the bottom third of the salary range.

At time of appointment, the successful candidate, if not a citizen, must have authorization from the Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services to work in the United States.
