Position Overview

To plan, develop and teach graduate MSN and FNP classes online, in the clinical setting, and in the campus skills lab. Carry out lecturer duties, including maintaining accurate student records and clinical grades, coordinating clinical instruction and experiences with other faculty, maintaining communication with clinical agencies, participating in curriculum development, and engaging in CCNE and BRN accreditation activities. Teach and conduct office hours.

Assignments may include day, evening, and weekend classes and clinical labs.

Minimum Degree Requirements

A master’s degree in nursing or higher from an accredited college or university that includes courses in nursing education.

Required Qualifications
  • The successful candidate will possess leadership experience in teaching graduate‑level nursing and Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) content, as well as teaching and student learning outcomes evaluation. Possession of a current active California RN license; current active California FNP license; national FNP certification; at least one year of experience teaching courses related to FNP nursing or a course including practice in teaching nursing;

    at least two years of continuous full‑time direct patient‑care practice as an FNP within the last three years or eligibility for the Board of Registered Nurses…
