Security Engineer

The Enterprise Security Engineer I maintains security across an organization’s enterprise technology landscape, including servers, networks, physical devices, and data. This role works closely with IT infrastructure teams to build standards, address security-related issues, and promote a corporate environment focused on protecting assets and information.

• Ensure the security of physical and virtual assets from both internal and external threat actors.
• Perform security assessments and system hardening across a wide range of network environments and technologies.
• Manage and enforce change control processes for network infrastructure.
• Develop enterprise security standards to reduce the risk of potential threats.
• Design and maintain an enterprise security training curriculum for business users.
• Develop, maintain, and participate in penetration testing, risk analysis, vulnerability assessments, and architecture reviews.
• Automate tasks to improve operational efficiency.
• Provide ad hoc assistance to IT infrastructure teams when needed.
• Maintain catalogs of servers and ensure authorization for access management and reporting requirements.
• Participate in disaster recovery and fault tolerance management and testing.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call scheduling for security-related events.

• Windows Server and Active Directory administration (2+ years required).
• Fluent in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Go, C, Perl, Bash, Power Shell)
• SIEM and security event analysis.
• Anti-malware software administration.
• Network administration (1+ years required).
• Up to date on global security issues and threats.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including public speaking skills.
• Exceptional organization, problem-solving and time management skills.
• Working knowledge in MS Office, any desktop communications software, Adobe products,
• Operating System software and web browsers.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a group.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA.

The pay range for this position is $29.00 - $36.00/hr.
