Job DescriptionJSL Technologies is seeking a NATO Sea Sparrow Depot Support Technician to provide engineering, technical, and depot‑level support for the operation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, testing, and evaluation of major radar, electronics, and mechanical subsystems. This position supports Navy technical stakeholders by providing troubleshooting, technical documentation, repair process recommendations, and programmatic coordination in support of fleet readiness.
Responsibilities- Support engineering projects associated with the operation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, testing, and evaluation of NATO Sea Sparrow major sub‑systems, with emphasis on radar, electronics, and mechanical equipment.
- Provide depot‑level engineering and technical support for repairable items, including troubleshooting, fault detection/isolation, root cause analysis, bench testing, and development of technical findings.
- Develop plans for project accomplishment and provide technical consultative support on equipment design, configuration, repair processes, and subsystem supportability.
- Prepare, modify, review, and update technical documentation, including technical repair standards, test requirements, test plans, production drawings, operating manuals, and related depot repair documentation.
- Review technical documentation for accuracy, adequacy, and compliance with Navy specifications and applicable program requirements.
- Maintain coordination with the In‑Service Engineering Agent (ISEA), technical community, and other stakeholders to remain informed of relevant hardware/software upgrades, technical issues, and program priorities.
- Support engineering and programmatic meetings by preparing agendas, presentation materials, meeting minutes, and tracking action items to completion.
- Serve as a subject matter resource for assigned subsystems, mentor team members, and communicate technical information clearly in writing and verbally.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship now or at any time in the future.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance level Secret.
- Technical school diploma, associate degree, or equivalent military/technical training in electronics, electrical systems, mechanical systems, engineering technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of four (4) years of work‑related experience with electrical/electronic systems, depot repair, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, or related engineering technician support.
- Ability to use standard test equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and related diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply electronics and mechanical schematics, drawings, test procedures, repair standards, and technical manuals.
- Ability to perform hands‑on electronics practices to build, repair, test, evaluate, and troubleshoot electronic or mechanical systems.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to document findings, support meetings, and coordinate with technical stakeholders.
- Experience supporting Navy combat systems, weapon systems, depot‑level repair activities, or in‑service engineering support.
