About the PositionThe Computer Science & Engineering Department at CSU Channel Islands has openings for part‑time lecturer positions to teach undergraduate courses in Mechatronics Engineering. Examples of course offerings include, but are not limited to, Introduction to Engineering, Electrical Circuit Analysis, Statics, Dynamics, Logic Circuits, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Digital Systems Design, Modeling Mechatronics Systems, and Mobile Robotics.
Minimum Degree RequirementsM.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
Required Qualifications- Applicants should have a M.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
- Applicants should demonstrate the ability to effectively engage with a broad student population and provide mentorship that supports student academic success.
- Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related discipline) from an accredited institution.
- 3+ years of teaching experience within a college or industry setting.
- 3+ years of industry experience in the engineering field.
Primary responsibilities are to teach undergraduate courses in Mechatronics Engineering and advise students within the classroom setting. Faculty are also expected to participate in assessment activities, including collection of data required for ABET accreditation.

- Range 2: $5,507-$6,677
- Range 3: $6,221-$13,224
- Range 4: $6,825-$14,523
- Range 5: $8,593-$15,211
Placement into a range is based on qualifications and experience. Initial assignments are typically at the bottom third of the salary range. Monthly base salaries are prorated to the number of units worked and paid in six monthly payments per full semester.
