Position: Machine Test Engineer 2 (51139)

Machine Test Engineer 2 – Salary Range: $37.00 - $56.00/hr.

The Machine Test Engineer 2 works with CNC machinery and complex mechanical systems, troubleshooting issues and providing analysis of machine capability while keeping the customer perspective in the testing process.

Responsibilities
  • Creates detailed test plans designed to cover validation and verification of new or modified G‑code and machine features. Develops automated test scripts using the proprietary Haas scripting language.
  • Runs test parts to validate functionality of Haas machines and verifies that resulting parts match the print.
  • Researches parameter and setting updates by testing new software features, often interviewing Programmers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Service, and Applications staff.
  • Researches and reports all anomalies in bug‑tracking software.
  • Releases standard and emergency software versions; validates features and bug fixes, generates and verifies release notes, completes release checklists, and coordinates with other departments.
  • Follows instructions, procedures, and escalates any issue impacting workflow, quality, or other processes.
  • Exhibits honesty, integrity, and adherence to rules, procedures, and policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • 2 years as a Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineer.
    • Ability to operate a CNC machine.
    • Experience programming and posting G‑code using a CAD/CAM system.
    • Strong troubleshooting skills.
    • Experience with Microsoft Excel.
  • Desired Qualifications
    • Experience reading and writing technical requirement documentation.
    • Understanding of a source‑control system.
Education & Experience

Bachelor’s Degree (BA/BS/BFA/BSA) from a four‑year college or university is required, plus related experience, training, and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
