Drive to Survive. The Machine Test Engineer 2 has some knowledge of operating a CNC machine, as well as knowledge of complex mechanical systems, and how they interact. They will have a good ability to troubleshoot problems, and provide analysis of machine capability. The Machine Test Engineer will bring a customer perspective to the test process.

Creates detailed test plans designed to cover both validation and verification of a new or modified G-code and machine features. Develops automated test scripts using the proprietary Haas scripting language. Runs test parts designed to validate functionality of Haas machines. Verifies resulting part matches print. Researches parameter and setting updates by running tests on machines using new software features. May also include interviewing Programmers, Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, Service, and Applications staff.

Researches and reports all anomalies in bug tracking software. Releases standard and emergency software versions. Requires validating features and bug fixes in particular software releases, generating and verifying release notes, completing release checklists, and providing information to other departments.

Minimum Qualifications 2 years as a Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineer. Ability to operate a CNC machine. Ability to program and post G-code using CAD / CAM system. Strong ability to troubleshoot a problem. Experience in Microsoft Excel.

Desired Qualifications Experience in reading and writing technical requirement documentation. Understanding of source-control system.

Education Bachelor's Degree BA/BS/BFA/BSA from a four-year college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Major Manufacturing Engineering Industrial Engineering Mechanical Engineering.

Minimum Years of Experience 2-4 years

Language Skills Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and/or governmental regulations in English. Must be able to write analytical and/or technical reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and create instructional reference material. Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, employees of the organization and/or the general public.

Mathematical Skills Must have an advanced understanding of mathematical concepts including but not limited to probability, statistical inference, fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, and/or calculus.
