Job Summary and Responsibilities
In keeping with the Dignity Health philosophy, the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant II is responsible for providing occupational therapy treatments to patients to restore maximum function under the direction of a registered occupational therapist. May supervise or be responsible for a particular program such as an in‑service coordinator. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW and is covered by the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements- Requires a CA Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum of two to three years of progressive experience with the development of expertise in a given area of therapy
- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills and the ability to work tactfully and effectively with fellow staff members, physicians, hospital departments, and the general public
- Exceeds performance standards in working knowledge of standard occupational therapy practices, procedures, and equipment utilized in the department
- Self‑motivated and able to achieve results through good organizational skills
- Ability to work independently, within scope of practice, and be a functional team member in a team‑oriented environment
- Demonstrates ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently while assuming additional responsibilities as assigned by manager/supervisor
