CONFIGURATION MANAGER Job Description
Come Join Our Team! GDIT is a government contractor providing professional and technical services to various government agencies (i.e. defense). We are currently looking for a Configuration Manager to join our winning team. The individual hired for this position will provide support for our government customer, Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division (NAWCWD). NAWCWD primarily operates in two Southern California locations:
China Lake and Point Mugu, CA. To provide improved service capabilities to current and future NAVAIR operations, NAWCWD is modernizing and optimizing the infrastructure that currently supports weapons development and testing activities. This is your opportunity to work in technically advanced, positive, and productive environment.
- Create, package, post online, and hand deliver product releases, configuration reports, CDs, and post receipts
- Coordinate and communicate with various stakeholders and customers as required for configuration management and documentation needs
- Create trouble tickets as necessary
- Maintain online delivery methods for various software packages and provide continual process improvement to streamline methods
- Maintain Program Configuration Management Plan
- Provide Program data management and legacy server space optimization.
- Review and update workflows and planning documents as needed
- Facilitate or attend meetings as required
- BA/BS (or equivalent experience)
- 6+ years of experience
- Experience with Defense Acquisition Configuration Management
- Defense Acquisition University certification in Configuration Management a plus
- Secret clearance
