Compensation
$104,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

Hot Section Technologies is an FAA and EASA certified repair station serving the regional aviation market. We repair off-wing aircraft components for regional airline customers in a regulated, documentation-driven environment where material control, traceability, and flow directly affect customer turnaround time.
We are hiring a Materials Manager to lead the Materials function and strengthen the systems that support our repair operations vision:
One Part Flow, On Demand, In SequenceThis is not a basic warehouse or shipping role. It is a hands‑on materials leadership role at the intersection of supply chain, inventory control, aviation compliance, vendor/subcontractor coordination, ERP discipline, and Lean repair‑station flow.
What You Will OwnYou will lead the Materials function and be responsible for:
- Material availability, inventory accuracy, and material readiness for repair operations.
- Inventory planning, including min/max levels, reorder points, supplier lead times, criticality review, and shortage visibility.
- ERP/inventory-system accuracy, including item master discipline, units of measure, stock locations, shelf‑life fields, lot/batch/serial tracking, and material status.
- Vendor and subcontractor coordination, including lead‑time follow‑up, documentation accuracy, supplier performance, and supplier‑risk visibility.
- Shipping, receiving logistics, vendor returns, RMAs, freight claims, and subcontractor shipment tracking.
- Shelf‑life control, segregation, labeling, quarantine support, and traceability documentation.
- Supervision of the Repair Facilitator and Shipping & Receiving Specialist.
- Practical Lean improvements that reduce searching, waiting, shortages, excess inventory, documentation errors, and material‑flow interruptions.
The Materials Manager supports the repair station but does not replace the authority of other role owners.
You will coordinate closely with:
- Repair Manager on repair‑flow support, material readiness, and material constraints.
- Chief Inspector and Quality Manager on traceability, quarantine, suspected unapproved parts, Incoming Inspection matters, documentation concerns, and quality‑system requirements.
- Engineering and Technical Support Manager on part specifications, approved substitutions, alternate materials, and technical‑data concerns.
- Accounting and Office Manager on purchase documentation, vendor records, invoice support, credits, returns, and cost tracking.
- Customer Service on accurate material status, delivery timelines, shortages, and recovery dates.
A successful Materials Manager will:
- Maintain accurate and reliable inventory records.
- Support a target of 98% or greater inventory accuracy.
- Make shortages visible before they interrupt repair flow.
- Improve supplier and subcontractor reliability.
- Reduce preventable stockouts, excess inventory, obsolete inventory, and expired material.
- Keep material status clear, controlled, and current.
- Maintain complete, traceable, audit‑ready documentation.
- Build a disciplined, organized, accountable Materials team.
- 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in materials management, supply chain, inventory control, procurement, logistics, vendor coordination, or related operations.
