Make a difference as a CNC ProgrammerAs a CNC Programmer you will program, set up, and operate advanced CNC machines for aerospace manufacturing. Your role includes programming and maintaining 4‑axis and 5‑axis machining centers, interpreting blueprints and technical data, designing fixtures, documenting tool lists, conducting first‑article inspections, training operators, monitoring machine operations, and performing routine maintenance to ensure high performance and safety.
Responsibilities- Program, set up, and operate 4‑axis and 5‑axis CNC machining centers using CAM software or manual inputs.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and mathematical concepts to determine tooling requirements and setup procedures.
- Perform machining functions such as cutting, drilling, milling, reaming, boring, and broaching on metal and non‑metal work pieces.
- Design and fabricate holding fixtures as needed.
- Document tool lists and maintain accurate records.
- Conduct first‑article inspections and quality checks.
- Train and support operators on machine operations and safety.
- Monitor machine performance and perform preventive maintenance.
- Associate’s degree or equivalent experience in manufacturing, preferably aerospace.
- Proficiency in CNC programming for 4‑axis and 5‑axis machines and CAM software.
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical data, and mathematical concepts.
- Solid background in aerospace manufacturing processes.
- Good communication skills for collaboration and information presentation.
- Strong grasp of geometry and trigonometry for calculating angles and machining parameters.
- Problem‑solving skills to define issues, analyze data, and provide solutions.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift up to 30 lbs, and work in a noisy environment with moving mechanical parts.
