Job Title:
Industrial Controls Electrician
Location: Oxnard, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20–$30 per hour (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Controls Electrician to support the assembly, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of motor control and automation systems. This hands‑on role requires strong electrical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to diagnose and resolve electrical and control system issues in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Build, install, maintain, and troubleshoot motor control and electrical systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, and technical drawings
- Wire and test motor starters, relays, contractors, control panels, and PLC systems
- Program, configure, and calibrate control devices as required
- Perform electrical testing to verify system safety, functionality, and performance
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults, component failures, short circuits, and overload conditions
- Replace defective electrical components and ensure proper operation
- Verify compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and customer requirements
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects
- Maintain accurate service, maintenance, and installation documentation
- Assist with training production personnel and junior technicians as needed
- Previous experience with industrial electrical systems and motor controls required
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience wiring motor starters, relays, contractors, and PLC‑based control systems
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities
- Knowledge of industrial electrical safety standards and best practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with UL, CSA, NFPA, ATEX, or related standards
- Manufacturing, automation, or industrial equipment experience
- Electrical certification or technical training preferred
