We are seeking a hands‑on Assistant Production Supervisor to support daily packinghouse operations and help ensure the efficient processing of high-quality citrus products. This position plays a key leadership role in coordinating employees, maintaining production flow, upholding food safety standards, and supporting a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do Operations & Production Leadership
  • Help oversee daily packing operations to ensure production goals, quality standards, and customer requirements are met.
  • Coordinate staffing and assign employees to maximize productivity and workflow efficiency.
  • Monitor production throughout the shift and make real‑time adjustments to maintain operational performance.
  • Partner with Shipping, Storage, and Quality teams to align production schedules with business demands.
  • Operate and monitor packing, grading, and labeling equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Quality & Food Safety
  • Ensure fruit is packed according to grade, size, color, labeling, and packaging specifications.
  • Train employees on grading standards, quality expectations, and proper packing procedures.
  • Utilize Clarifruit and grading systems to monitor quality metrics and resolve specification discrepancies.
  • Support compliance with food safety, food security, sanitation, and company policies.
  • Promote a culture focused on quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide daily guidance, coaching, and support to packing department employees.
  • Assist with employee training, performance feedback, and ongoing development.
  • Review and approve employee time records and support attendance management processes.
  • Promote positive employee relations and address workplace concerns professionally and effectively.
  • Lead safety and production meetings to communicate key updates and expectations.
Safety & Continuous Improvement
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and support incident investigations.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Identify equipment or process improvement opportunities and coordinate repairs through the work order system.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives that enhance efficiency, quality, and employee engagement.
What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in citrus packing, agricultural production, or a similar manufacturing environment.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish.
  • Strong understanding of packing operations, quality standards, and production workflows.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience.
  • Experience using production tracking, grading, or quality management systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
