The Planner/Scheduler 1 is responsible for performing routine planning and scheduling activities within operations departments at Haas.
QualificationsEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Add Essential Duties and Responsibilities according to position.
- Scheduling of sales orders.
- Perform sales order changes and "swaps" of customer orders.
- Engineering Release (ER) implementation and associated activities.
- Coordinate with Sales staff, providing status on production and coordinating with Sales to set production priorities.
- Maintenance of the production schedule.
- Analyze basic problems that arise from the floor and how to resolve them properly (e.g.:
Controlling Goods Issued (COGI), inventory inaccuracies, Bill of Materials (BOM) errors, etc.). - Releasing and scheduling of production orders.
- Proactive addressing of alerts (e.g.: part shortages).
- Capacity analysis.
- Manual allocation of materials as necessary.
- Creating and maintenance of BOM structures and routings.
- COGI management, cycle counting and verification of proper part consumption.
- General support for the manufacturing floor and other departments.
Employees are expected to follow instructions, procedures and to escape any issue impacting workflow, quality, etc. Employees must exhibit honesty and integrity as well as demonstrate adherence to rules, procedures and policies.

Minimum QualificationsProficient in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software, especially in regards to Work Order Releasing, Report Structuring (variants and layouts), SAP Master Data, Routings, Material Requirements, Bills of Material (BOM), Production Order changes, etc. Basic MRP knowledge, including the use of constraints in planning. Knowledge of Engineering Releases (ERs) and how to manage them. Understands the specific details of "use-up", effectivity dates, dispositioning of materials, and the general intent of the ER.
Experienced in the maintenance of the production schedule. Understands all details of the schedule, how to sort and modify the schedule, and how to properly balance the schedule. Knowledgeable in top-level machine variants. Understanding of how variants are configured, and the ability to create or modify variant configurations. General knowledge of the shop, the flow of material, the operational uniqueness of each department (Machine Shop, Electrical and Mechanical Assembly).
Qualifications
Education Some courses completed from a college or university is required, plus additional related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience. Preferred Major Business Administration Supply Chain Management Minimum Years of Experience 1-3 years
Language SkillsMust have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents; such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Have ability to write routine reports and business correspondence. Able to speak effectively before groups, customers, and/or employees of the organization.
Mathematical SkillsMust be able to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Must have the ability to apply concept of arithmetic, algebra, and geometry.
Reasoning AbilityMust have the ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
