Machinist
We are seeking an experienced machinist to set up and operate large CNC machines, specifically focusing on Okuma, HAAS, and Fanuc controls. The role involves working with production parts, primarily wheels and wheel components made from aluminum for the automotive and aerospace industries, including rockets and aircraft wheels.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines with Okuma, HAAS, and Fanuc controls.
- Handle production parts primarily consisting of wheels and wheel components manufactured from aluminum.
- Utilize precision measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
- Perform program edits and modifications as necessary.
Essential Skills
- Experience with CNC Lathe operations and setups.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring tools, blueprints, and controls like Okuma, HAAS, and Fanuc.
- Capability to perform program edits and modifications.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with vertical turning lathes and handling large parts.

Work Environment
The work environment consists of a 100,000 sq. ft. facility operating on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The lathe department houses approximately 45 CNC lathes, primarily Okuma, HAAS, and Fanuc lathes. The role requires a self-motivated, focused, and organized team player.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oxnard, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $50.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
