Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Oxnard, CA | Acute Care

Contract | 12-Hour Day or Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Onsite

• Provide direct patient care in a Labor and Delivery and Postpartum unit serving high-risk deliveries across all gestational ages, including patients with no prenatal care and substance abuse/withdrawal presentations
• Circulate for C-sections in one of two dedicated C-section suites with recovery (scrubbing experience not required, but circulating experience is required)
• Perform continuous fetal monitoring using Fetal Link integrated with Cerner EMR, adhering to AWOHNN staffing and care guidelines
• Float between Labor and Delivery and Postpartum units as needed; L&D nurses must be prepared to float to NICU to care for grower/feeder patients
• Collaborate with OB techs who assist with deliveries, C-section scrubbing, supply stocking, and patient intake
• Participate in weekend shifts (4 per 4-week schedule) and holiday rotation shared with permanent staff

• Active RN license valid in California
• ACLS certification required
• BLS certification required
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required
• Fetal Monitoring certification required (AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced)
• Minimum 2–3 years of Labor and Delivery experience
• L&D nurses must have Postpartum experience; ability to float to Postpartum is mandatory
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR

• S.T.A.B.L.E. certification preferred
• At least one prior travel nursing contract preferred
• Experience caring for high-risk obstetric patients including substance abuse/withdrawal and patients with no prenatal care
• Spanish language proficiency is a plus given the patient population served

• Work in a well-supported unit with 24/7 respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and on-call OB/Neonatologist availability, plus dedicated OB techs to support your workflow
• Gain diverse clinical experience in a dynamic L&D environment managing complex, high-acuity cases with a collaborative multidisciplinary team
