Warehouse Associate

Overview

Warehouse Associate at Floor & Decor. You are the backbone of our retail location, responsible for compiling orders and replenishing/moving merchandise on the sales floor or to a customer’s vehicle. Your day includes checking inventory and orders, interacting with customers, and operating a forklift. • Demonstrate and understand compliance with the company’s safety processes.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with accuracy.
• Provide above-and-beyond customer service and exceed customer expectations.
• Restock show floor with product and organize merchandise to company standards for easy shopping.
• Load out customers with the correct product and help them find items; answer questions as needed.
• Be available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
• Keep work area clean and safe.

• Must be 18 years or older
• Knowledge of basic math
• Warehouse experience
• Customer service experience
• Experience with heavy machinery, forklifts, or farm equipment preferred but not required
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure
• Completion of forklift certifications through Floor & Decor
• Where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test

• Exposure to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles; noise level typically quiet to moderate

• Ability to exert 30–60 pounds of force occasionally and 20–30 pounds of force frequently; may lift up to greater than negligible up to 20 pounds constantly
• Frequent use of hands and fingers; ability to stand, walk, reach, climb/balance, kneel, crouch or crawl
