• Keep the sales floor runway‑ready by re‑merchandising and straightening throughout the day.
• Assist customers when cashiering with a variety of transactions across in‑store, online, and mobile platforms, operating the point‑of‑sale system and bagging items of all sizes.
• Handle bulky and sometimes heavy items, including boxes, ensuring a seamless and friendly experience.
• Create a smooth fitting room experience by greeting and assisting customers, and sorting and returning clothing to the floor.
• Maintain a clean and clutter‑free customer experience by sorting and returning clothing to the sales floor.
• Keep stockrooms organized and ensure merchandise is properly checked in and accurately ticketed.
• Demonstrate expertise in all technologies used in the store environment.
• Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and asset protection standards.
• Promote initiatives such as the Nordstrom Rewards program.
• Receive, unload, and unpack freight, and deliver newly arrived merchandise to selling departments.
• Fulfill customer orders in a timely manner following quality standards.
• Prepare and ship customer orders following quality, packing, and shipping standards.
• Utilize inventory management systems to scan, process, and research merchandise shipments in accordance with inventory control processes.
• Assist in maintaining clean and organized selling floors and stockrooms.
• Provide general support to the store, including setting up special events, organizing the backroom, markdowns, and relocating store fixtures.

• Clear, effective communication with strong interpersonal skills.

• Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.

• Continuous movement for 6‑8 hours per shift, including frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, and reaching.
• Frequent use of hands for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
• Handle bulky and sometimes awkwardly shaped items, including reaching for and lifting these items above the head.
• Regularly lift items weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds.
• Stock and Fulfillment Only:
  Frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.

Hourly: $18.85 - $19.65 (varies by location). Pay offers are dependent on location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
