Overview
Western Exterminator, part of the Rentokil family of companies, is a global leader in pest control services. This role focuses on selling Pest Control Consultant services and products to residential customers while maintaining a strong customer‑focused approach.
Responsibilities- Sell the company’s industry‑leading pest management services and products to new and existing residential customers.
- Visually inspect homes for pests, pest harborage, pest entries, and other issues.
- Based on assessment findings, sell pest control solutions and preventative maintenance plans.
- Collaborate with the Customer Service Center, Inside Sales department, and Technicians to create increased opportunities.
- Partner with the Branch Manager to identify revenue streams with current base and service‑specialist engagement.
- Develop proposals for customers to resolve existing pest issues while proposing additional enhancements.
- Complete home diagrams in the Sales CRM and provide them to customers to ensure a clear understanding of their home and potential challenges.
- Follow up on past proposals to close sales opportunities.
- Provide expert knowledge to new service installations to ensure jobs are completed satisfactorily.
- Complete daily activities and sales performance using the company sales CRM.
The position requires lifting up to 11–20 lbs., frequent walking, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and moving on stairs, ladders, scaffolding, ramps, and poles. The candidate must maintain balance on narrow, slippery, or moving surfaces. Comfortable dealing with various pests and operating in confined spaces is essential. The candidate must safely operate a company vehicle and keep it and all equipment clean.
Personal protective equipment, such as an OSHA‑compliant respirator, may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license from the current state of residence.
- Strong social, customer‑service, and communication skills; sales experience and/or training is highly preferred.
- Minimum 1–2 years of pest technician or sales experience.
- Willingness to travel up to 100% within the assigned territory.
- Ability to lift 10–20 lbs. and move comfortably in residential settings and confined spaces.
- Comfortable operating a company vehicle; a vehicle and gas card are provided.
Yearly: $38,896.00 – $50,565.00.
