Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Security Officer, you will monitor buildings and grounds on the property to ensure the safety and security of employees, patients, and other visitors.
Every day you will monitor the property by walking and driving around the premises. Your security detail could include guarding facility and unit access points, monitoring surveillance cameras, testing new security technology, and protecting all employees/visitors against acts of violence should they arise.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need the ability to remain calm and take action based on the situation, known facts, and understand the position limitations. You are also expected to respond to emergency codes in a timely manner. Previous experience in security/patrol in a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Tours buildings and grounds frequently for security inspections. Measurements:
Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors. - Reports any unusual conditions or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate department via verbal communication, electronic mail or Quality Management system. Measurements:
Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors. - Confronts unauthorized persons for questioning; routes or detains them and requests police assistance as necessary. Measurements:
Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors. - Performs escorts of staff and visitors. Measurements:
Observation, Feedback. - Checks vehicles for proper parking authorization and location. Measurements:
Observation, Feedback, Departmental monitors. - Makes written security reports of incidents requiring further documentation and Security log entry. Measurements:

- High School GED, upon hire and
- Security Guard: CA, upon hire and
- Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire and

- Basic Health Care Security Officer, within 90 Days
- At least 6 months experience as police or security officer, upon hire
