Technician, Refrigeration​/HVAC

We are looking for a skilled and experienced technician to support and oversee the repair of Walmart’s refrigeration HVAC equipment. The role requires strong commercial HVAC and refrigeration knowledge, hand and power tool proficiency, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facility’s refrigeration HVAC equipment and assets using commercial HVAC and refrigeration skills and tools.
• Use the work‑order management system to receive, support, and document repair activities for stores and store associates.
• Inspect, operate, or test equipment, fixtures, or facilities to diagnose issues.
• Complete all required training and certifications for safe operation of equipment and tools.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and Walmart safety policies.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Lift up to 75 pounds, move up and down ladders, and work comfortably at heights frequently.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.

• 2 years of experience in commercial refrigeration HVAC maintenance.
• Type I/Type II or Universal EPA certification for refrigerant handling.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR report.
• 18 years or older with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Large‑scale rack refrigeration experience (preferred).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical HVAC/R program.
• Mechanical license in the city/state where the job is located.
• 4 years of experience in mechanical maintenance or construction‑related field in commercial HVAC/R and building controls.

• Hourly wage range: $28.00 – $54.00 (actual rate may exceed local minimum wage).
