Technician, General Facilities Maintenance

Position Summary

General Facilities Maintenance Technician – 1:30 PM to 12:00 AM PST, Wednesday through Saturday.

• Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling, and food equipment skills.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and other equipment to complete jobs.
• Receive and prioritize reactive repair work orders through the work order management system.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls.
• Inspect, operate, and test facilities, equipment, and fixtures to diagnose issues.
• Complete required safety and equipment training.

• 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Vocational or technical certification and at least 1 year of experience, or 2 years total work experience, in plumbing, electrical, or material handling equipment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs, moving on ladders, working at heights, and standing or sitting for long periods.
• Comfortable working in various temperatures.
• Optional: 3 years of experience in the required trades or a 5‑year equivalent total experience.
• Eligible for a commercial driver’s license (CDL).

• Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program.
• License in the related trade in the city or state of employment.
• Intermediate proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, email, and presentations.
